I been going back and forth and figured maybe just posting a thread here and getting other peoples opinions.

Would y'all recommend going with a peninsula style tank or a just classic regular reef tank. What are the pros and cons of a peninsula?
Any issues besides tricky to get flow right?

Debating between waterbox Infinia reef 190.5 or the waterbox peninsula 6025
Both tanks are same dimensions.
Dimensions (LxWxH): 1,536 x 643 x 575mm (60.5" × 25.3" × 22.6")

Was thinking blue area for a peninsula tank or just place the Waterbox Infinia Reef 190.5 on either red wall.

Mainly looking at waterbox tanks, but open to other ideas. really like the cabinet space on Red sea tanks but after all the horror stories i have seen im not sure i want to go with them.

Peninsulas are awesome (I have a IM EXT 200g peninsula, 6 footer), but recommend you set up an outline of the tank with carboard etc. and place it where you may put the tank. Leave it there for a while and make sure it doesn't interfere with day-to-day operations, as well as things like space to move furniture by it.

I would put the tank against the wall that is perpendicular to the floor joists. That size tank will weigh quite a lot. If you don’t put the tank perpendicular to the joist you should look into bracing the floor joists under the tank

It's a bit harder to pull off a nice pen style tank but check out @Troylee 's tank journal for a great example.

I echo @trainbob 's considerations about the floor. That will be about 1400lbs and definitely in the range where you will want to consider your floor's ability to hold the weight long term without causing sagging etc.

Thank you all for the tips. Very good points. Still in the window shopping stage so just seeing others thoughts.

How do you like that tank? I'm looking at 100G+ peninsulas and it looks quite nice. I like the width. Any issues? Plusses and minusses?
