I just caught the unknown coral eating a bloodworm and snapped a pic. This is also the most open I’ve caught the colony as a whole open during the day and it’s because of feeding.

ask them what it is

I honestly believe it’s a Montastraea cavernosa and the person I got it from was wrong about Australia but that’s my opinion as of now until I find another possible candidate that matches down to the colors like this one does.

Caught a photo last night of the Mystery coral Open. I’m definitely more and more positive it’s the Caribbean species Montesterea Cavernosa!

dang, it really does look like that! thought it was maybe still adjusting, but it looks great!
but I agree, it definitely looks like that species
