I moved the galaxea from where I had it and placed it on the sand on the other side of the zoa peninsula. Another head is gone, doubt it's going to make it. Tomorrow, I'm going to figure out some coral placement. Or replacement... oh and finally test water. I have a sample from Saturday in a specimen cup, so we can see if there's any change in phosphates over the last few days.

Oh, finally saw one of the little asterinas I added to the tank from the frag tank. Those guys came in as hitch hikers on the live rock and haven't bothered anything. I have been picking them out whenever is one on the glass and throwing it in The Deep Blue Sea. I figured they don't bother anything and they eat detritus, the more biodiversity the better.

I watched one of these starve to death at my lfs. It was a very sad to see such a gorgeous creature starve in a tank because it is pretty.

We moved the duncans and the galaxea out from under the Kessils. We'll throw some SPS in those spots at a later date. We picked up another bucket of Red Sea salt today at the LFS. We also saw some branch rock that's been cooking at the LFS for a month. That stuff has great color on it. Maybe later this week I'll go grab a few pieces for the back of the tank.

Meh, Red Sea has been good for me... no point in ordering new salt.

We finally got around to testing our water. Something is using up foundation elements.

So, we set up the Jebao dosing pump on the Deep Blue Sea. We'll run this pump until we can get the Coralbox Wi-Fi doser. We had a dosing tube holder left over from an acrylic sump kit and some spare RO tubing that we used to hook the pump up to our fancy DIY containers. Calcium is black and Alkalinity is white.

Manually added some alk solution to give us a bump. Back up to 7.3dKH. Not too much, don't want to disturb any more than what already is. I'll test again every day at 2300 this week to make sure we get stabilized.
