I am now turning my 100-liter Juwel tank in my office into a bare-bottom reef tank.
I would love to hear your comments.
What I have done:
1. I filled it with 98 liters of (double) distilled water.
2. Added salt and two small pumps to mix to reach precisely 35 ppt
3. A skimmer that overflows to saturate with oxygen was added.
4. Added 2 liters from my old home reef tank.
5. Added Reef Led 90 to existing two blue and actinic original LED stripes.
What I plan next:
1. The next day, I will add a large rock covered with GSP from my home tank.
2. Add 2-3 small fish (Orchid dottyback)
3. let it mature for a week.
4. Add some Montipora digitata and Montipora Montipora capricornis frags.

Are you adding some bottled bacteria also? Or just the rock to aid the new cycle?

No I do not believe in bottled bacteria. I added water from my home tank and hopefully the rock with the GSP will supply more bacteria types. Also ammonia now is no considered so bad
