Thanks for the info. For copper sensitive wrasse as an example, what do you recommend? Above someone said some copper medications work for wrasse. Any opinion here?

Copper power with a Hannah high range copper test kit is what I use. The Hannah test kit is important to get levels correct.

You could also just purchase from people who already QT the fish like FisHotel, TSM, etc.

I actually woke up this morning, and in bed was thinking… if quarantining is this advanced, (so many methods for different fish: see https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/difficult-fish-to-qt-guide.640256/) how the hell isn’t there a RELIABLE fish site who does all of this for us and charges a premium. I’d ******* pay at least 30-50% more for fish for this service lol. Free market always finds a way, can FisHotel and TSM be trusted 100% in your opinion? Does anyone else have opinion? Do you just dump them in tank without any QT? Maybe Black Molly Test first?

Nothing is 100%, diseases can get through but it is rare but it happens. Uronema is difficult to cure.

QT venders:

Alien Reef Aquatics
FisHotel
Ethical Aquatics (Canada)
Ocean Devotion
TerraReef Aquaculture
TSM
Dr Reef

The first 5 have observation period minimum of 2 weeks after QT, last two do not I don't think.

Some of the ones I listed might only be coral. I can't remember who has what.

Alien Reef Aquatics - Fish Only - Very small never really used or heard much about them.
FisHotel - Well... This is me so I will just shut my face on this
Ethical Aquatics (Canada) - Fish Only but Canada -- Super amazing, Chris is a very dependable guy!
Ocean Devotion - Adam is awesome, a bit spendy but super good at what he does!
TerraReef Aquaculture - This is coral
TSM - These guys are pretty solid, but they are having a few issues now that Matt is gone. for the most part, pretty well-trusted still
Dr Reef - You can find all the info here on R2R as he is a vendor here on the site :)

If treating fish where copper makes sense though, copper treats for more diseases than TTM right?
it may but that doesn't mean you need to use it. I've heard too many fail stories of using copper. TTM have worked tremendously great for me. 30 fish including 12 tangs in 3 years no ich.

Thanks for the insight :) I have both setups. I'll put my success rates below. I am no QT expert as I just started doing it after big ich/or/velvet outbreak wiped half tank and had to go fallow for I think like 70 days I forget exactly. Still learning, but here's my noob results lol (15 years freshwater+ponds, 15 months 300g reef)

1st Copper treatment:
4 fish, 3 died.
One my fault, he jumped out, no cover, but he was very lethargic and sickly looking before he jumped. It was 2 wrasse and 2 others I forget what.

1st try TTM:
3 fish, 2 died.
Had three 3"-4.25" tangs in 10g TTMs, 2 died, I didn't realize they were way too much for 10g TTM, ammonia spikes were most likely what killed 2 out of 3 of them.

2nd copper treatment:
3 fish, 0 died
6 line, and 2 diamond gobies. Went perfect. Got hannah copper checker this time, increased copper from 1 on day 1, to 2.5 after 72 hours. I'll keep trying copper probably mostly for now outside of fish who are too sensitive. TTM is quite a bit of work vs letting fish chill in my 30gallon for 14-30 days.

Always more to learn! Thanks.
