He is a fantastic resource and always happy to help. Idk the article you've read, but my understanding is in this species they gain 1 extra dorsal spine that is slightly more pronounced and grow significantly bigger. My cherub angel (very close relative) definitely transitioned from female to male while in my tank
@Cthulukelele yes, @OrionN has been helpful for me as well. The fish I'm not certain about the sex right now I think might still have a chance to change to female if it is a male. I think it might be still in the juvenile stage.

Even then I'd expect eventually the dominant one would become malve over time! Fish are so cool

@Cthulukelele yes they are cool!!! I suspect the largest one is male as he is also very much the dominant one socially. I also go by the end of the anal fin if it comes to a point in the males. Whereas to being rounded in the end of the anal fin then more likely females.

@Cthulukelele this is what I'm talking about, the end of the anal fin.

Bought a little can of Easy Reef Masstick cylindrical chunks of food. They are fish treats you press and stick on glass, although in my experience they don't stick on the glass at all!!! I stuck one into a little crevice of the live rock. They kinda like it but was very shy of it for a half an hour. Here they are.
