Hey all,

So in wake of no longer having a tank, I’ve turned to a new alternative, which is turning a 29 gallon breeder I already have into a reef tank.

I recently just purchased the “All-in-One Drop-In Kit for 29 Gallon Aquariums - PRO Series - Fiji Cube” in hopes that this would be a cost effective alternative.

Now I know that this is not the same as having a drilled tank, and I cannot keep SPS corals, but that aside, does anyone have any previous experience with this product? If so, is it good? And how do I operate it? Thanks!

You say yours is a 29 breeder but when looking at the product site it says it's for a 29 standard. Did you make sure it'll fit?
Basically once you have it installed it just gives you rear chambers like a factory made all-in-one tank to put your media, heater and return pump. Just cause it's a AIO doesn't mean you can't have sps. That's more dependent on your lights and flow.

Yeah, the fit should be good, I don’t think this is a breeder tank and that’s a mistake on my end.

Otherwise, thanks. I appreciate the advice!!

This is the tank, below. It’s roughly 30x13x18 (mind the mess, tank needs to be cleaned out)

I assume you are referring to the Fiji aio kit?
I've heard mixed reviews so I'm hesitant to purchase one.

Yes I had the original on a 40 gallon. Is it better than a sump? No. Is it better than a hang on back filter, it depends. Really the main thing is if you want a filter box in the tank or not.

Most of the negative reviews were about flow. I know it's no sump, but I'd prefer to keep everything as tidy and nice looking as possible, and I'm not looking to do a sump at this time due to space restrictions. This is the closest I can get atm, I think, lol

You can always get a larger return pump.
