I hit 7.8... my Duncan isn't speaking to me...Yes sir, best my corals have looked in a while. But I use it to help manage the low swing, because it's in conjunction with All for Reef, which allows me to get the trace elements And have the magical bennefits of kalk. However, because I use both, I can only dose so much kalk for salinity and chemistry reasons. The total amount is slowly dosed an hour after lights out.. incrementally more and more until the lowest point ..lights on. So the co2 helps bring it all up a bit overall. I Usually don't drop below 8.2 ... but I hit 8.16 this morning!! *Gasp! : )
There are quite a few out there but we have always used the probes on our Apex Stystems then we have a pH pen to check sometimes. What's a good PH meter to use? I got a cheap one when I first started my tank and would like to upgrade it.
There are so many meters out there. But I've been very happy with my Apera pH60 pen. The head is easy to replace should I break or it or for whatever reason it stops working. It is easy to calibrate and holds calibration fairly well, if you maintain it well. I do not currently have a pH monitor in my tank that's constantly taking readings. I take manual readings every few days at different times. I record those and have been able to get a good dataset that way. Ideally, a constant monitoring probe would be best of course. What's a good PH meter to use? I got a cheap one when I first started my tank and would like to upgrade it.
Also.. moving some corals to make room, so I watched The TG Psammocora Vid (Again) this morning, to see if they can grow against, alongside & amongst themselves like mature adults. I Havent found one experience based answer on the Web!.. the World Wide version! : OAre you dosing Kalk? That is our GO TO for keeping pH higher.
We actually have had them living in harmony together for a long time. They do not fight but undotably one will eventually overtake the other. They kind of mount up at the edge of one another for quite some time then one starts to win. We actually have some that naturally grafted by doing this and now we are growing that piece out.Also.. moving some corals to make room, so I watched The TG Psammocora Vid (Again) this morning, to see if they can grow against, alongside & amongst themselves like mature adults. Little bas$#-s.... After all that private school tuition, they STILL can't read?!?!?Thank you! Good info.
I tried 3d printing little stop signs and one way signs.. but the corals must be texting and growing.
