Now I have to figure out what makes a championship fish but ya, that's crazy fresh water wins. I was thinking 10k for a fish was nuts but for a million you could set up a full shark system.
The koi pond world is a different level entirely. All that and you are a raccoon or heron away from a very bad time.

Must be a status symbol thing in some asian cultures. Like the Japanese dudes who always stunt on the plebs when buying the first big tuna each year. Major flex!

The tuna thing gets headlines, but I think it is more like a charity auction than anything.

Oh mannnn... Did I get what you told me (months ago) way wrong! I thought you said you were dosing MAGNESIUM. (Granted, I was sedated when we first "met" and always dyslexic)... That explains the mystery problem I've been having! :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Must be. I was doing some envelope math and I've purchased some thousand dollar fish. It was a sizable decision to make. For me to make the same decision on a million dollar fish I'd need to be earning $20 million per year or have a net worth around half a billion.

Hey Than, just wanna say THANK YOU for showing your corals under both blue and white lights! As someone who doesn’t want a blue/blacklight rave tank in my living room, it’s very appreciated!

Well it is an endangered species
It's one of those weird technicalities (a.k.a. the law) where what's on paper doesn't make a ton of sense and that's why it's legal almost everywhere else. They are farmed and chipped. It is like how there is a ban on whale products which includes ambergris when is basically whale poop that has been tumbling on the ocean waves for months and forms a fatty rock. Is that really a whale product that needs to be banned? Sure whatever.
