Huh. I've seen some expensive discus but that's about it. Even then they seem less expensive than a lot of the saltwater fish I've seen.Don't sleep on the cost of FW. The most expensive fish are all FW.
I picked up what would be almost $1000 or gonis and weird stuff at another live sale for about $250 + shipping. ( sorry, Than... but saving space in the wallet for today...) Sometimes, it a matter of what you stumble across. Sometimes you pay alot for what turns out to be a polyp or two. Other times you run into great deals that define the "if its too good to be true, it probably is".Corals don't HAVE to be expensive but people tend to gravitate to the most popular ones and those are always going to be pricy.
Supply and demand means things that are in higher demand tend to be more expensiveWould think the more popular ones would be cheaper because everyone has them
Does this get enough ambient light to keep those plants alive or do you supply extra from the fixtures? What do you think of our "balcony" upstairs?
$400 yellow tangsHuh. I've seen some expensive discus but that's about it. Even then they seem less expensive than a lot of the saltwater fish I've seen.
Championship Koi can be over a million and rare color strains of asian Arowana are also very expensive.Huh. I've seen some expensive discus but that's about it. Even then they seem less expensive than a lot of the saltwater fish I've seen.
The plants there are plastic. We have live plants by the windows but in the middle of the building is too dark.Does this get enough ambient light to keep those plants alive or do you supply extra from the fixtures?
Tell you a secret I don’t do water changesregular water changes fixes a lot of potential issues.
ORRRRRRRR we're all waiting for the market to saturate, price to drop, and then we get it. It happens, eventually. We Reefers are seldom patient, though.Would think the more popular ones would be cheaper because everyone has them
Angels because they aren’t ever fully reef safeNOON CHECK-IN
If you could make any fish reef safe, what would it be?
And illegal in Maine....Championship Koi can be over a million and rare color strains of asian Arowana are also very expensive.
Right! But they are soooo coolAngels because they aren’t ever fully reef safe
If they don't like what they're near, they'll reroute- essentially trimming- themselves. I've never heard of actively trimming a euphyllia, but they're not my main thing. If I place a branching euphyllia between a rock and the tank glass, will the coral naturally grow away from the two obstacles? Or will they need to be trimmed/moved when they get too close?
Now I have to figure out what makes a championship fish but ya, that's crazy fresh water wins. I was thinking 10k for a fish was nuts but for a million you could set up a full shark system.Championship Koi can be over a million and rare color strains of asian Arowana are also very expensive.
I’m not either. RMS and balling methodTell you a secret I don’t do water changes
