I saw you were heading to Nemo’s. I appreciate it. I am waiting to hear from TAMPA bay on when they are diving to get my rock. Once I know I’ll be looking for leathers mostly. Really want toadstool and fingers.



Found 2 heaters in back of closet. 75 and 200 watt. Wait till u see my ATO and wave makers



Too expensive power wise. Power compacts were cool back then, but hard to find. The tank came with the CHEAPEST led strip ever. I am working on a slick lighting surprise down the road after I have complete the throwback instant tank build for less than 1k.

My Rio 3100 from amazon came in Saturday. Sorry, I meant it came in a 1000 pieces from amazon on Saturday. Anyone say exchange.

Got a shopping cart started at @AquaLocker . They have a bunch of damsels and clowns. I need to call them Monday, I want to order them, but I can’t have them ship until I know when the rock will hit my door. Also, no blue damsels in stock, hoping coming in soon.

I hate to hear that about your pump. I am picturing a toilet tank float valve in the sump for your ATO, of course that would probably fit better on my low/no-cost system since my budget on that tank was set a lot lower than yours. ;Hilarious

What type of clowns do you plan to add?

They are both good old-school choices. A. Percula may be a better option because Tomato clowns are higher on the aggression scale. Good luck with whichever fish you decide!

I am getting close to set up day.

Tampa Bay Aquatic is a phenomenal company. I am getting the rock and sand from them. I ordered just before the holidays. The replied right away advising of an expected dive date to harvest. Close to that date they had bad seas so they could not dive. They let me know with bad seas and holidays it would be after the first. they sent me a note today, they went down, visibility was bad, so going to try again later on.

i told them I am trying to do this build in one day fully stocked and done based on their rock. They have no problem working with me on shipping same day it is harvested and giving shipping option.

Im so close I can taste the rock. Is that weird?

That's only weird if you actually plan on tasting the rock!!! I'm thrilled to hear about the progress!

Rock is out of the ocean. Shipping in the morning. Hopefully in tank Saturday morning. Might fill tank Friday night with water. Interesting to see the rock and sand coming from Tampa straight from the ocean. Gotta order livestock now.

I never had a chance to get a brindle. I think the bigger they get the bigger their personality gets.

john, cool pics of the future reefer. I would recommend a bigger tank. Maybe move up to a 55 for room to keep a tomini

liveaquaria order on the way, I think anyway. I am bad at follow up on shipping emails or charges. I orderEd some damsels, clowns, CuC, 2 soft basic coral. (First time I have clowns in forever. to me they are the harbinger of death by velvet. EVERY clown ever has it;Nailbiting)

Rock and sand on a plane, I think. Same as above.

it Is hitting on friday , I was hoping it would be sat or a day off, so I built tank and doing water tonight since time will be tight.

took hour and half to put together. I think only tand more basic would by hob, ugv, and Berlin. Maybe next ugv

Oh, and anyone used esv salt. I love their products and this will be an all esv tank. But holy cow, need to be a chemist to mix the salt.
