The best starting point, ask all your questions here!Hi all been following this thread and seeing some beautiful wrasses at the LFS recently. I am finally getting a 100 Gallon System ( 70 Gallon Display, 30 Gallon Sump, 90*60*55 Cm). Can I make this into a wrasse dominated tank ? What would be an good starting point to researching about them and figuring out a good stocking list.
Plan is to add 10-12 Fish with 7-8 of them being wrasses. Is that doable ? Or is this too small of a footprint for a wrasse tank.
Currently plan to have a Pair of Clowns and Royal Gramma as a must and want to fill the rest of the tank with 6-8 Weasses
Thank you. Would you think my plan of adding 7-8 wrasse or even 5-6 would work in a 3 feet aquarium ? What wrasse would you recommend? I’ve kept a carpenters and 6 like before and loved them. I love moment in tank and just love the yellow Coris wrasse as well. My only other fish list would be clowns, a royal gramma and orchid dottybacks. The best starting point, ask all your questions here!
A slippery dick!!
And a Thalassoma bifaciatum
I saw one cyanocephalus but yet to see a hog!! The Halichoeres is definitely a highlight so far thoughThere are some really beautiful yellow cheeks (H. Cyanocephalus) and Spanish hogs down there, too!

Twins!!Maybe???!!!???
Definitely better coral biodiversity then Hawaii but also a lot of dead coralsI’m jealous! You diving or snorkeling?
Hopefully the reefs are looking okay down there. I went back in 2010 and the reefs were pretty vibrant/active!
Well it could be a lot of wrasse… could even be a slippery dickLook who did come home today!
Some of my wrasses will literally put theor beaks on the glass to come see me, but put a camera in my hand and "didn't you say you had wrasses?" Only the blenny is out photobombing coral shots. No pictures please. I'll hide back here if I see that $#&@8+? camera
He's still not 100% sure about coming to see me every time I'm in front of the tank. But most of the time he swims around and displays when I'm there obviously hoping I'll feed him. But the second the camera comes out. He's goneSome of my wrasses will literally put theor beaks on the glass to come see me, but put a camera in my hand and "didn't you say you had wrasses?" And he's such a pretty fish. The colors in the picture are is anything less vibrant than he is.He's still not 100% sure about coming to see me every time I'm in front of the tank. My Leucoxanthus comes right up to the glass. Camera comes out and he's in a cave somewhere, I touch the lid and he's under the sand immediately. He's still not 100% sure about coming to see me every time I'm in front of the tank. It's ok if I do stuff in the tank. In fact today he was chasing the baster around as I blew off the rocks. But the camera is apparently the scariest predator any of these fish have ever seenMy Leucoxanthus comes right up to the glass.
