Currently have the pintail and the pencil in an Evo under observation. Been there a few weeks already. Eating mysis with gusto, but ignoring pellets and less than enthused about ROE and PacPods. I am about to start Prazi, and then doing 1.009 hyposalinity for 30 days. Thoughts on whether I should add an M. negrosensis, H. iridis or P. severnsi before starting treatments and run all three in this Evo? Or would that be too many wrasses in QT?

Sounds good. So this round one pencil and pintail. Next round the negrosensis and severnsi or iridis. I think that was all of the sand sleepers on my list. I'll probably get the fairies from Dr Reef.

Anyone else find their cleaner wrasses annoy the Sh*# out of the other fish in the tank? I currently sumped my cleaner, as my firefish spent all day hiding, and my Exquisite and Linespot wrasses avoided him like the plague. Tang and Anthers don't mind him, but everyone else hates him. Also he spends a little too much time dive bombing my clams, not sure if he's nipping or not.
He's a biota Juvenile, pretty small but growing, and eats pellets, flake and frozen, and I'd hate to give up on him, but my tank is currently calmer with him in the sump.

Local trying to sell a pair of "flame wrasses" for $4500. Are these real jordanis?

Have you done hyposalinity for wrasse before? I was reading around looking for timeframes for alternatives to copper for treating a couple wrasse and read that they don't handle hypo very well. I have been preparing to do this for a while. Need to set up the ATO first. Was also debating running prazi before Hypo. I understand you have to take care to watch pH also with hyposalinity. Will be a challenge, but my observation tank has lots of sand and live rocks, which I prefer for the wrasses, so hypo seems like the most likely method to succeed, since copper and chloroquine will be affected by all the sand and live rock. In any case, will take it slow getting down to 1.009sg. Unfortunately hypo doesn't prevent velvet, brooklynella or uronema.

I just finished hypo in my display to treat ich and my exquisite and mccosker's did just fine everyone was still active and feeding normally. Like Jojo said, take it slow with bringing down the salinity. I took about a week to bring it down to 1.008-1.009 with no issues.
Unfortunately it just so happens that I have one of the hypo resistant strains of ich, so I'll have to go the copper route. We'll see how they fare with coppersafe or if I should just go the ich management route.

I've caught Slippery Dick's in Florida, never seen seen a pudding wife. Also accidentally caught this big Blue Angel in Islamorada.

Are fairy/flasher wrasses actually invert safe? I have a 5 foot tank which is about 65 gallons. It's a fowlr tank but was actually setup as a iowlr (invert only with live rock), with about 50 individuals of dozens of species of shrimp, crabs, hermits, even Penaeid prawns. As for fish there's a small school of dispar anthias, a purple firefish, baby whitecheek tang, blue assessor and a bicolor blenny.
The smallest inverts in the tank are my 4 Urocaridella antonbruuni which are a little under an inch i'd say, they swim freely in the water column. I want to add a fairy or flasher wrasse but very concerned they'd harm my little shrimp, even though most australian vendors list them as 'invert safe'. But that might be referring to being safe with something like a skunk cleaner and not a tiny little glass shrimp.
Would appreciate a response from someone with more experience on this, i just don't trust wrasses to be honest.

IME, Fairies are reef safe the majority of the time but some species can be a risk.
Flashers I’ve yet to even have one look at an invert the wrong way.

So a mccoskers flasher should be fine with the Urocaridella? The tank has very coarse sand, if that's an issue
No issue for fairies and flashers. They don't sleep in the sand. They will pick a cozy spot in the rocks and make a mucus cocoon.
