Hi all,

in this wrasse list bellow, which one can be put together in a 120G reef? I'm thinking on adding them together to mitigate aggression. Maybe I could put 4 or 3 of them. This list is from my LFS. I'm planning to buy 3 or 4 of them as stated. I already have my tank cover.

Lubbock Wrasse
Yellow coris wrasse
Ruby Head Fairy wrasse
Six line wrasse
Green coris wrasse
Solorenses wrasse

Current stock: one powder blue, one gramma and 4 ocellaris.

Thanks in advance!
Well, as much as I adore this wrasse I think I’m finally in the gang of don’t get it…
Cut the Halichoeres chloropterus (Green Wrasse). It will become a fairly aggressive species once it matures. Same with the Pseudocheilinus hexataenia (Sixline Wrasse).

The others should be alright but that depends what species you mean that ‘Solorensis’ Wrasse is.

1. Possibly a Cosmetus but could be a Melanurus female, hard to see through the bag.
2. Exquisitus for definite
3. That is one strange Flasher but isn’t a Blue (Cyaneus), more likely from the Mccoskeri complex.
4. Definitely a brunneus
5. Possibly a brunneus but could be a stressed teminickii
Thank you yea the only flassher i order were a fillimentus and a blue. I saw the filamentosus for sure. Sooo maybe my order a little goofed up
Yep numbet 4/5 are the issue lol they look similar but one turned stark white when i put him in the tank. I dont know if that helps.

Looks like you identified them all correctly. The adorned looks like it has a little mouth damage probably from rubbing against the bag trying to bury itself during shipping. Also it could just be the angle in the bag, but it looks like it has a bulge above the anal fin? Keep an eye on it.
The mouth looks good in person, the bag warped the image pretty bad. He looks like he has a beak in the pic lol!

Glad he looks better in person than the pic!

4 and 5 are definitely both brunneus so be prepared to rehome one of them at some point. By chance did these fish come from Dr. Reef?

Yes, i was just informed they somtimes send 2 because of poor shippers. Sadly one was stiff on the sand. So.... solved itself??

NEW problem lol what is this wrasse! I orderd a fillimentus and a blue flassher. Well this guy is getting realy spicy with my Mccosker. They look identical too..

@i cant think suspicion was correct it's not a blue flasher. That is a yellow fin flasher. He looks good! How are the others doing so far?

Looks like a McCoskers to me (at least from looking at this on my phone).

That’s a shame, because that’s a pretty little guy.

Edit: SaltyT is right. Yellow fin, pink tip on the dorsal!

Well filaments have multiple elongated dorsal spines. Yellowfin just has the one.

The blue has a completely different tail.

Oh wow. Yeah thats pretty obvious. Here is another picture. Definitely not the blue flasher tail.... i like the look, but that's not really that point huh.

And yea i even noticed the difference in dorsal spines on the yellow vs fillimented. Its a easy giveaway. I really appreciate the help.

As @SaltyT hinted at Dr Reef has a reputation for sending the wrong fish. I like him for the health of his fish and how he is generally generous. But he has no idea how to ID fish.
