Almost forgot, I’ve really wanted a Blue Spotted Jawfish, but didn’t want to spend the money, especially after my Whitetail. My LFS has 5 and he’s going to trade one for a frag of my wwc aoi ;Smug;Smuggrin;Happy

That’s awesome :)
I so wish I had a good LFS. Only local option is Petco, then it’s an 80 mile drive.

That stinks. Mine is amazing! Eddie has quarantined fish for me, met me at the corner Chick-fil-A to give me something I need after hours, comes to the house to check on the tank if we’re out of town..I don’t think there’s anything I’ve needed that he hasn’t helped with.

@Fin That's neat how you set up the check valve. What's holding it in place? Do you have one for each return pump?

Another easier option is to run a T on the outer part of the return bulkhead and off of that T you reduce to a 1/4" threaded fitting. Then run a 1/4" RODI line off of that back to your overflow, you can place a valve on the line and tune the flow to just barely a trickle. Ran it for two years, never failed, never cleaned. I'll be setting up the same thing on my new tank.

Yes, there are two of them. I was copying Melev's set up, but he was not using two separate pumps. He just T'd his two returns and put a reverse check valve in the center of the two returns. There is just a T at each SeaSwirl and pipe to the check valves. My returns are pretty deep, so I definitely need something that will stop the flow. There are other ways to do it, I just wanted to try this one.
