tested the other day: no changes.
kicked up the lights yesterday. was 3 hours about 40% and 4 hours at 50% with ramp up and down. now 4 hours (maybe five I should have counted, more however many it happens to be) at 40 and 5 at 70%. heavier blues and over all a longer photo period.
Moral of the story, prepare for algae and uglier tank pics.
also pondering a change to the scape, a la the present reef of the month.

I had to show my husband this. Ive said it hundreds of times "I've been awake with the baby all night". He'd say "maybe you 2 shouldn't be awake all night than."+1 Reef Jerky, fish go nuts.

Club meeting and swap yesterday. New format was cool. Vendors and a talk. Didn't win the quiz, I was off my game. Nor did I win any of the raffle prizes. Oh well. Now I don't need to feel bad about winning next time.

So adorable!!! they grow up so quick.Welcome back! Old pic but not to different from where we are now...
I cannot wait for my little one to start moving. My 5 yr old keeps trying to get the newborn to play hot wheels with him. The first year sucks. I never liked it. After that it does get easier.
Edit: thanks for the welcome back. My brain is still lacking full function. Another work in progress. Maybe it's time to get a brain for the reef, that might help me....

If it'll grow well and fill space I'll be happy. Don't care much about the name.
Thanks. He's a blast now that he's getting a personality and interacting with the world. Family leaves helped a lot with connecting too.
Yeah, hard to function on the sleep you get with a newborn.
If it makes you feel any better, I think I spiked my nitrates to 50.Tested the other day. It's like I don't even have gfo in there.

I have no clue what my nitrates were for the last year since they were above 75 and Hanna couldn't read that high (she stopped at a 3rd grade level).
