Coral snow treatment. I dose every night after lights out, but also after I vaccuum the sand bed and do a WC. It is a really good flocculent.

I'm so jealous! I really want a sailfin, but my system is just too small.

On that note, I did decide yesterday that I need more tangs to help raise my Nitrates. So, after the holidays I'll be adding a white tail and a purple. These, of course, in addition to the female Bellus angel and the Jeweled Leopard. After that, no more fish, no matter what @JoJosReef says. The purple will be a juvenile < 2", and will go in last.

Hrmm...

If they were the only two fish in there, possibly, but not likely.

As it is, if Venom gets over 10" I'll likely rehome him. That is if we decide to put off the move to the Philippines for longer. If we stay, I will have a 1000 gallon system in the basement, so at that point I can consider another.

Today I should get the smoker, the door and the drawer set in at least...cut the hole for the gas line and electric too...but first have to brush the bricks and seal them...ah cup number 2.....

Good Morning, Heathens! Happy Wednesday (edit: Tuesday) to you all.

Yesterday was a busy day in The House of Orange. Maintenance Monday definitely lived up to its name.

I pulled the gyres from the overflows. They are being cleaned up and shelved- their performance has just declined too much, and are no longer supported by Icecap / Coralvue. I ordered two new Jabao gyres to replace them.

My Carbon Doser seized on me and the solenoid no longer opens. I replaced it with a new Inkbird regulator, which I am still wrestling with. Need to dial it in more. So far, my Carx PH is hanging around 6.5 +/-, so not too shabby. The drip rate is faster than I'd like it to keep it in that range, though. Need to keep a close eye on calcium levels for the time being.

I discovered yesterday that the transformer for my UV blew. SMFH. Ordered a new one at extortion prices.

I had a call with a wholesaler in Indonesia yesterday. Lining up a shipment of small colonies from Bali for after the holidays.

I tweaked the lighting spectrum and flow a bit.

Three deliveries coming this week.... stay tuned.

I'll be off and on throughout the day, but have a full plate today. Feeling better, too, so that's a plus. Hit me up if you need anything.
