In a late night, insomnia fueled shopping spree, I ordered some more coral. The following will be arriving next week:

Lime Pavona
Blue and yellow acans
Blue and green sympodium (for a small island)
6" Aussia torch colony
5" blue/green acro colony

I have two other shopping cart orders that I am debating ATM. Will update later if I pull the trigger...

I like the Meteor Shower. Nice colors and fast grower.

Expect the Acan to change colors (assuming Micromussa Lordhowensis?) and be super excited when they don't

Lime Pavona is a slow starter but EXPLODES once it starts growing.

I lived in the DMV for 1.5 years or so (when we ran our first tank), on the V side. I-95 scared me all the way to Alaska.

Yea, its nuts down there. I grew up in New England, moved down with the future wife, I first recall heading somewhere at 10 PM on a Saturday, and finding bumper to bumper traffic on 95 like, what the heck?

The automated speeding ticket cameras also killed me. Used to travel back and forth in the wee hours, got a ticket for 71 in a 65 on 495 at 2 AM. They mailed me a pic of my car/plate and ticket. My friend told me I should send back a picture of money for payment.

The tailgaters make me want to carry frozen water balloons to lob out my window. But that's just adding aggression to aggression, which helps no one.

90% of the people here are transplants (as a native New Yorker, myself included), and they bring their lousy driving with them. The DC metro has the absolute worst traffic in the country (backed up by statistics) <I'm looking at you, Capital Beltway>, and also the highest incidences of vehicle collisions (also backed my statistics).

I used to carry a bubble gun in the side pocket door of my jeep, and when sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the beltway, would blow bubbles out the window while cranking music. Lots of people enjoyed it, but I also got a bunch of expletive laden insults hurled at me, too. I enjoyed both in equal measure.

I had a friend who was a nut job and would do handfuls of pennies out the sunroof. I do not recommend this. He received results, however they varried greatly.

Thinking of the beltway gives me a nervous tick. I agree about how horrible traffic is, but I find LA/OC/SD traffic equally infuriating. You cannot get anywhere fast at any time of day or night.
