The funny thing is that, right now, it looks like the Wally World mug from Christmas Vacation. It's very hard to feel solemn when this is the setting for your "funeral":

How do you not yell "Open wide Rudolf! I got a present for ya!" everytime you gotta take a dump?
This reminds me of a wild night I had in Austria. It's best if you don't ask questions...

Joking of course. I know it's pseudoGermany.
They speak the same language in the same way English is spoken in the US and UK. A lot of nuanced differences in meaning and tone. Aside from that, culturally speaking, they are very dissimilar, especially with how they communicate. Being a very direct person myself, and having lived there, I prefer Germany. Most Americans, however, would likely feel more comfortable in Austria. Austrians (particularly the Viennese) have elevated passive aggressiveness to an art form.

But the Thinker on the top. Thats amazing.
Then there's the "Bath" signs on the wall, comprised of radioactive elements. Subtle, but hysterical IMO. Also, I made this vanity:

Good Morning, Team Styx!

Morning updates:

It looks like the green sinularia sp. I added to fill in the side next to the purple branching sinularia sp. is melting. I'm fairly certain it is due to allelopathy, despite running carbon 24/7. The purple is a beast at 13" x 10" fully open, and it is likely not happy with its new neighbor. If anybody in the DMV would like the colony, let me know. I also have a matted filefish to throw in...

The WWC Green Austera seems to have browned out, but tissue still looks intact. I moved it to a lower par area and will monitor. I'm not hopeful.

The Red Planet is showing some tissue recession. Keeping my fingers crossed.

All other SPS frags are looking great.

All other new additions are also doing well. Better polyp extension on the octospawn, and the Duncan is fully open (and gorgeous).

In a late night, insomnia fueled shopping spree, I ordered some more coral. The following will be arriving next week:

Purple LT Fungia plate
Meteor Shower Cyphastrea (backwall)
Megatron Montipora (backwall)
Lime Pavona
Blue and yellow acans
Blue and green sympodium (for a small island)
6" Aussia torch colony
5" blue/green acro colony

I have two other shopping cart orders that I am debating ATM. Will update later if I pull the trigger...

I've only lunches once in Austria. We needed a German to German translator to talk with our table mates.
