I hope everyone is having a good Friday so far. I'm handling a number of post hospitalization follow up appointments today, and just got my labs drawn. Holy sheet... look at this:

having some coffee here....the 300 is doing good since the tear out the lava rocks been about 2ish months. All like 50 ish zoa frags that we were able to save are now beginning to adjust and open up and color up the tank. from the looks of it its gonna be a huge colorful zoa garden and rock arches covered in zoa's. Will contuine to add lps to floor to make little colorful moving ares and maybe about 4 to 6 key special sps on the top of the tank...Mrs 1ocean really likes the zoas and moving lps...I changed the 4 radions from ab+(40%) to the phx14 metal halide program. I used the Kelvin slider to move it to 1600K and started it at 10% schedule and 100% intensity. Will continuw to add to the % of schedule as time goes on. I also adjusted the 3 kessil 360a to all blue 100% and 50% uv. Things seem to like it. Yes it is blue in the am/pm but when the radions kick on at noon its perfect....I think the ab+ was to bright and also adding to the begining of algae growth. Got a small 250g package of ROWA phos never used it before, see how it works compared to GFO in the reactor to help with PO4 numbers... Go my hands on a nice frag of 5 exosphere zoa for cheap, saw they are going for 99 to 150 a polyp...omg...Glad I did not pay that or I would have to give blood too,,,,,

Rowa phos is GFO, bud. Just another (brand) name. Band-aid vs. Adhesive bandage and all that. If you're looking for something different than GFO, you can look into Aluminum Oxide Hydroxide. Stronger adsorbant, but exhausts faster.

raining here today...my winter grass seed is happy...cup number two....I know stxy your gonna run home and catch up to me since you probably had to not eat or drink anything prior to your support of the local turkey blood drive...hahaha

Rowa phos is GFO, bud. Just another (brand) name. Band-aid vs. Adhesive bandage and all that. If you're looking for something different than GFO, you can look into Aluminum Oxide Hydroxide. Stronger adsorbant, but exhausts faster.

yes thanks, I knew it was still gfo but seems you need less and it claims its manufactured differently. see how my little experiment works. band-aide or duck tape and a always pad and plastic...

Kolar labs makes a really good high capacity gfo, too. Ounce for ounce, it is better (IMO) and cheaper.

yes I use that brand and their bio pellets...Just ran out of GFO and got the ROWA at local store until my order gets here from the hands of ups,.....when they find it...lo.///
