While checking over the system this morning, I peered into the mangrove fuge and noticed that one of the feather dusters looked much larger than usual. Upon closer inspection, it appears as though it has reproduced! There are two crowns peeking out of one tube (both smaller tubes come out of a much thicker tube). I've heard of the larger ones doing this in home systems, but haven't seen it myself. Super cool!

That is cool. You must be doing something right!

FTS? If you are feeling up to it, of course
Oh yeah. I suppose I forgot about that. Like I said, while I was "away", my husbandry fell off with my mood. As a result, I had a nutrient spike and then the pendulum swung rapidly in the other direction. That caused me to lose three small acro colonies, 3 additional acro frags, my Lobo, and a small favia.

I removed some rock to open up the scape for improved flow and then added some arches. The new dry rock has cause a small diatom bloom, which you can see in the pics. Disregard the flat shelf rock on top of the arches. The new nem is still moving around and I'm trying to coax it to one of those plateaus.

Nutrients are coming in line slowly. Once in check and stable, I'll begin adding frags again.

I enjoy, and like it when others do it as well, share photos of their ups AND downs. We are all human and I think sharing those moments are just as important as when our tanks at their best.
