Good luck! I hate these bubbly algae’s! May yours not survive too long.
I had Cyano and thought I was lucky everyone else was saying dinos were a PITA. Well… 10+ years in the hobby and I finally got my first round of Dinos.

Doing a quick water change and added some filter floss as @Troylee suggested, now just waiting for the salt to prepare and I’ll get on with testing and feeding everyone.
Enjoy an out of water Monti pic :)

Started with this guy too, I found a bit of hair algae and now I’ll just go fishing for rubble in the 4’ tank to start the pods.

Caulerpa is definitely on the menu for this ‘tank’, and so is dragons breath.

They do have very different lighting needs. Caulerpa loves bright while DB loves much lower. Have you got a plan?

I have a form of plan, the lighting it gets currently is 50/50 between bright and dull.
Dragonsbreath seems to grow up whilst caulerpa spreads more out. So I’ll likely have spreading algae in the front and the taller algae in the back.

You can also use light color as caulerpa loves red but dragons breath just reflects it.

I bought a few DB but had not realized the danger of Mexican turbos. They ate it all in minutes before I even realized.

I had my 1st battle with dinos too a while back in my 20 long. It sucks, but you'll beat them!
Definitely the hope, so far I’ve had 2 coral fatalities, the Millie and the Turaki however the Millie may still come round as it’s not RTN but is instead deciding to go the STN route.

Are you only doing filter floss? Or a peroxide/nitrate type treatment?
For now Filterfloss only but when I can get my hands on peroxide I’ll likely do both at the same time.

Was curious. Seeing results is always helpful if one ever needs ideas how to fight the battle. You got this!

for Dinos try upping temp to 81
Well, this seems like it’ll happen naturally anyway…
It’s already beginning to get warm over here and when I say warm I mean it’s hitting 20°C outside.

Here he is!

He isn’t in his final spot because of 2 reasons. I want to frag him for a friend who was also interested in this piece and also I want to try acclimate him to the high level of light I run.

A slightly more accurate photo of what I see (The flesh is nowhere near as bright as the polyps and it’s slightly more blue).
