I remember when my dad bought a big screen projection TV and almost got a laser disc player. Those were crazy expensive in the 80s
I had one of those.. only movie I can remember on the lazer disc player was 20,000 leagues under the sea :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I remember when my parents bought a huge (well for the time at least) projection tv in the 90’s. Amazingly they still have it sitting in their den. It keeps breaking and dad just keeps fixing it.

Just slap the top of it
How absurd…. we had to smack the side of it not the top. Seriously for a while we would just slap the side before dad actually fixed it.

VHS (and the forgotten BetaMax) came about when I was in my early 20s. Well, popular. Remember seeing them in the late 70s. I’m slightly old I guess.

I'm late to the party here , but, while I like the idea of the super long name, no one wants to say all that!
I like "Nightmare Fuel" or "Freddy's Coffee".
That is a gorgeous coral, btw. I'd love to have a frag of it in my reef!

Horror movies - my husband loves them! He likes JigSaw type movies, which I refuse to watch. As a kid in the 70's, I loved Nightmare Theater and the cheesy vampire movies.
He laughs bc I will watch documentaries of fish eating each other, or other nature stuff, but not horror. My fave - Sea of Creepy Monsters. It shows Bobbitt worms grabbing fish.

Funny enough I own a couple of laserdiscs of movies I like, wish I had a laserdisc player but those are so expensive to get in this day in age
