Yes… my male clown. Probably because of the females mood  but mine just jumped into a back chamber so it was still in water. I don’t think that counts.

I believe @Mhamilton0911 has saved a fish just in time

Yeppers! I found a half jerky female clown in the floor, popped her back in and she was wonky for a couple weeks but looks totally normal now, several months later. Need tops! Funny too that she used to be in a topless tank and I had just moved to a tank with a lid, I just left it open once.

Yes, office nano on my desk. Typing, typing, typing... Then hear flapping, flapping, flapping. The tailspot blenny managed to jump through the IM Nuvo lid and was flopping about on the netting. Scooped him up and plopped him back in. Made a mental note to get a lid with smaller netting. Still have the IM lid :disappointed-face:

YES! My Starry Blenny, my female Clown, and a black Khuli Loach. The Khuli Loach was a pleasant surprise because he was almost completely dry. I had heard about them rehydrating themselves but I got to experience it firsthand!

Had a betta jump. didn't see it was out of the tank till my dog very gingerly pulled it out from under the tv stand and laid it on the rug. It didn't survive much longer, maybe a few weeks. but was alive when it went back in the tank.

Yes but this was back in the days when I had goldfishes. I left the lid open after feeding and 30 minutes later when I noticed the lid open, I saw a goldfish out of the tank. I quickly picked it up gently and put it back into the tank.

It was many years ago, but it was a Mbuna African cichlid that jumped while excited to eat after fasting them for a couple days. Thankfully happened right in front of me!

Running algaecides (Vibrant) on a relatively new tank to combat GHA. Basically a giant welcome mat for dinos.

Better to just keep adding diverse things to your tank and let an ecosystem balance itself out.

Had a clown jump out of a DIY acclimation container. Kept hearing a loud splatting sound but since the windows were open and it was raining, I thought it was just large drops. After a while I finally realized what it was. Tossed it back in the DT, no harm, no foul.

Mounted my refugium lights way to low (below rim level of sump) and then stopped the return pump to do some maintenance. Submerged the refugium lights.

Man, this is a hard one... I've made so many rookie mistakes and continue to make some.

The biggest thing I fell into was thinking my tank was ready for Acropora just because it was old enough. Bedor adding difficult fish or corals it's always best to check your parameters and make sure the tank is ready. I've killed too many things by just winging it.

My reefing journey just begun and currently at the waiting stage for the tank. My journey from the very beginning during the researching, planning and decision making, I realized that there is always more researching and information to be gathered. Take the time to gather information and then take more time to gather even more information.

I had a tile fish in my old tank jump and somehow made it all the way to the return pump. Found him attached to the pump but still alive. Put him back in the tank. He was surprisingly okay but died a month later. Not sure if it was from the return pump or just being a tile fish in my tank. He died around the same time the other tile fish I had died. Last time I tried tile fish.

Rookie mistake but I’m sure people don’t do this already. I dosed copper without measuring one day. The rest of the story you already know. Except for a pair of hooven wrasses all of the other fish died from the overdose.

I had a scissortail dartfish jump and get suck in the 1/8 mesh...
It was hard to wiggle him out, but he lived!
Only to do it a second time when he was bigger and i had to cut the mesh open. Again lived.

If you have a skimmer with a float switch, don’t forget to enable it. Don’t ask me why I chose this PSA. It’s also much worse when you don’t enable it and then don’t wash your GAC enough...

I haven’t (knock on wood) which is kinda surprising. We don’t currently have a lid and we have a zebra bar goby which I read can be a jumper. It would be awesome to get a lid put on this sucker!
