I currently feed a mix slurry of food. Mysis , calanus, brine, some powders, mix it up and dump.

Sometimes pellets.

I just thought of a sick feeder... Automatic nori dispenser. Like a roller for nutrients removal but it auto keeps nori for tangs

TANK TALK: If you won this contest, what animal do you feel you’d be better equipped to successfully keep?

For the lid, I'll be good to keep Wrasses and Firefishes, but the lid will be good for any animal in the tank. The autofeeder will definitely help better equip any animal successfully when I have to be away.

Wrasses and Blennies! I already lost a Carpenter Wrasse due to jumping and, if I hadn't been home, I would have lost my Starry Blenny. My 3 Halichoeres wrasses are doing good and id really love to keep it that way!

I have been trying to feed pellets to my fish and they are not having it. I even try sneaking them into their frozen food like I'm sneaking medicine to a dog.

But my 35 gal bowfront, I turned on the lights to get some coral feeding action

For me it would just make things a little easier during feeding on at least one of my two tanks. Can't keep any big fish just nano fish, but it'd still just be cool. I mean I do have a long-term plan to setup a 50+ gal tank down the road and then hopefully get some angels or even, dare I say it, some tangs.

My daughter and I got into reefing about 4 years ago. We had dreamed of starting a reef tank and then she came home one night with a 20 gallon Waterbox AIO. That got us going and we took the plunge and got a 90 gallon drilled tank and sump and started filling it with fish, inverts, and corals. We built a custom lid for the 20 but have not put one on the 90. She bought a 32 gallon Biocube that she kept in her upstairs bedroom. Then she moved out for college and I am in charge of the three saltwater tanks and four freshwater tanks. Just this week I lost a beautiful diamond goby who jumped out of the 90 gallon tank in the night. It was dead on the floor when we woke up. A lid would be a blessing.

TANK TALK: Share a challenging scenario you've faced in your reefkeeping journey. It could be an unexpected algae bloom, equipment malfunction, or a tricky water parameter issue. How did you troubleshoot the problem?
Dealing with a massive hair algae problem! It took me a few months, but I finally have it under control. I got all my level into the apppropiate ranges, did a ton of manual removal, scrubbed a few rocks every few days, and upgraded my cleaning crew to maintain the problem.

It is almost all gone and just in time for my 1 year anniversary of setting up my first saltwater/reef tank.

Right now I feed frozen brine and mysis, occasionally chuck in fish eggs and larrys. I have the overly complicated Neptune feeder with pellets :) and a Ehiem auto feeder with flake. The feeders are just a extra treat and midday bump for the anthias. I like to have the water looking like its snowing that way some of the less brave fishes all get fed :)

TANK TALK: If you won this contest, what animal do you feel you’d be better equipped to successfully keep?
Honestly, I'm still so ignorant to the many species of fish that I want to keep. Many of them though seem to fit the "Jumper" category! I would love a variety of wrasse in my tank, and I just know that without a good lid, I'll be asking for trouble. Our family get attached to our fish. I would not want my youngest to come out and see a dead fish on the floor.

Screens from a video :). I dunno how to upload just the video via my phone and I’d have to redownload from my Facebook. This may be why they bite me haha! I do enjoy the interaction with them

TANK TALK: If you won this contest, what animal do you feel you’d be better equipped to successfully keep?
I’d feel a lot better about my macs, since they’d get the lid, and I do think I could try a little more needy species of salty fish with the auto feeder. I can’t think currently, but I was looking at one and discovered they do best with several feedings daily. I also think Sideshow Bob and Selma would appreciate more groceries.

I would do more active wrasses and another Lawnmower blenny. I have had 2 fish jump. A lawnmower blenny and a Black Ice clown. Unsure how the clown did it because I had a screen top...

Im most certain any and all fish can jump. But Wrasse are frequent flyers so they would be some of the ones to benefit the most and of course the anthias I will be getting as well.
