Stand/sump debate, is a extra 5” worth it?

Would an extra 5” in cabinet length make a huge difference for you? Do you wish you had it before you did your setup?

I have everything and still dragging my feet about swapping out my current metal Wayfair for a diy build.

Current stand will just fit in my 20” cube sump and a Ato, and maybe some vertical space. I thought building a stand would be worthwhile but it’s really only another 4-5” since materials will be thicker (and my space available).

I put my 90 gallon tank on a 100 gallon stand so I had an extra 10 inches on both sides I have enjoyed the space for 15 years.

I think the more space the better. Reactors, dosing containers, Trident waste containers, or just storage for maintenance items.
