@Jay Hemdal had this fish for a couple years so I think it can’t be UNWD right?
First noticed issues two nights ago when I was adding bacteria after dark. It was laying in the sand rather then in a crevice like usual. Yesterday it was eating but not swimming right. Today obviously dying. Here are two videos from today.

While this has similar qualities to UNWD, it is what we call bent spine in which as the fish matures, they suddenly are unable to swim normal or with what you see, a bent spine. At times, the given fish will still eat or attempt to. Can be caused by impact injury, stuck within a rock structure or facial injury. It rarely occurs but does an there is no meds we can suggest to reverse this

I didn’t expect there to be a cure. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t UNWD.
Thanks!

I’ve not seen UNWD in long term captive fish. Of course, since we don’t know the actual cause, I can’t say that could never happen.

This fish seems swollen with edema, but I can’t tell for certain. Edema is caused by kidney or liver failure. Usually though, the swelling develops over days/weeks.

In my first week of having it seemed to injure itself. It swam weird with its spine crooked both horizontally and vertically. I assumed it jumped into the glass lid I had at the time. After a couple weeks the horizontal kink went away as it gained weight. That’s also when it developed that gut bulge. That was like 1.5-2 years ago though.
