Scratch that I had some time at work today to compare prices....it's cheaper to have them milled and use anchors than using gusset style.Hell with it I'm just gusseting everything..... gussets everywhere!!!
Finished ply??? That looks good with Al tslot
My tslot stand
It’s actually edge joined pine panels from Home Depot. Lots of sanding and many coats of polyurethane so far it’s held up well. This is my third stand using edge joined soft wood panels.Finished ply??? That looks good with Al tslot
Like just glued or rounded n groove??It’s actually edge joined pine panels from Home Depot. Lots of sanding and many coats of polyurethane so far it’s held up well. This is my third stand using edge joined soft wood panels.
They are just glued I believe as I have never seen a biscuit joint or dowel in them. You can make your own panels but you really need a joiner to get true edges.Like just glued or rounded n groove??
Here is mine. 48x20x33 aluminum frame from Framingtech. DIY wood panels stains and glazed with General Finishes grey gel stain and pitch black glaze as well as sealed with their High performance top coat. Inside sealed with killz sealer and primer Then semi gloss white paint.
top board was treated on the edges with the same process as the panels. And I have a aqua gadget self leveling mat on top. Stand will hold a 100 gallon starphire internal overflow euro braced aquarium from SC Aquariums.

any pic how to mount the controller in these stands?
I made a separate compartment like a Red Sea or waterbox.
Here’s the basic design of the stand that I purchased from framingtech. The wood platform/paneling was done by me and attached using connectors or brackets from framingtech.
