Old school. Wall o’ rocks. 300+ pounds of live rock hidden under there.

And behind that wall of rock is likely a natural cryptic zone with sponges etc living on it.. I know people that still aqauscape like this and their tanks do well.. not into the new "fruitstand" in a supermarket look.

Yep, not only behind also in front and throughout. All colors too. Red, blue yellow, orange, green, white. Lotsa of tunicates and featherdusters as well. Never got into NSA landscapes. Less spots for corals. :)

Still looking for ideas to scape my 200DD, and want to see more scapes to "inspire" me. Post up your scapes you think look awesome. I still like the "bonsai" inspired ones, but anything is welcome.

What kind of rock does everyone use to scape their big tanks? Looking to set up my first big boy and wasn't sure what route to go regarding the rock. Thanks!

I kinda went for one tower island a low area and then a cave network…. It’s my first scape ever but for the shelf I’m thinking of a massive Zoa garden to keep the water column open.

bonus points for Diablo and doom art!!

If i could do it over. I would make my rocks like these images below, because these designs let you get the most coral on the rock while having separation from coral warfare, while also limiting just having heavy giant boulders. having branches and cliffs are ideal for corals. i wish i knew that prior to making my landscape.

Thanks! Yeah that’s pretty darn cool. I mean I built my rock scape and sure it looks a little weird but I think once coralline and coral take over it’s gonna look neat

That said. Thanks man! Yeah I need to finish off the wall above. Just waiting for the right posters to put there. This tank, and my pc are my small corner in the basement that’s my private space. Close as i get to a mancave.
