I’m looking to build a real nicely plumbed 40 gallon breeder into a 20 gallon sump , something to really impress people with when they take a look at my filtration I’m not worried about a budget or time , I find that a 40 gallon breeder is the perfect size reef tank for me … plz show your guys’s projects or builds so I can get some ideas !
Im looking for any overflow ideas
Also anything I should consider while building and any mistakes to avoid ?
I would appreciate the feedback

I stole these photos off of here just as kind of an idea of the direction I’m going towards

I'm curious of the noise with the sump. I went with a canister setup because the tank in near the living area. I only hear the nero 3 or the fans on the lights kick on occasion. Otherwise dead silent, no dripping sounds or drain noises.

I have a long history of fresh water, I hated cannister filters, I was running sumps with fresh water tanks. so much more you can do and customize
