I'm curious what refugium lights are being used and how you guys are mounting them. I have a RSR250 V3 and the fuge section is relatively small.

Any suggestions for mounting power packs/adaptors for my lights and such in the cabinet? I’d love to strap them to the walls somehow instead of a clump on the base of the cabinet.

I've been using velcro adhesive. Seems to work pretty well. Only thing it didn't work well on was the Apex, the adhesive wouldn't stick to the head unit for some reason.

If you have a 425xl version 3 sump where are you mounting your ato sensor and which ato are you using? My 425 has virtually no room on the return side of the sump to fit a magnet outside of the sump... I assume I will need an ato that can have both the sensor and back side in the water? Any guidance would be appreciated.

What skimmer are you all using on your 170? My Curve 5 is overdoing it to the point where I have 0 nitrates. Any nano skimmers that are worth it?

You can buy power pack/adaptors brackets.

Hi all. For those who have hard plumbed the reefer 350, which pipe diameter did you used for the manifold (3/4" vs. 1"), why did you make that decision? I am thinking in plumbing the return from a Vectra M1 with 1" pipe and reducing tees to 3/4 inch for each of the manifold valves (e.g. reactors, UV). Should I go instead with 3/4" to 1/2"?

Unless you re-plumb your lines that sump won’t work. Shoot them an email and they’ll point you in the right direction for one that fits the 525.

I have their RSR250 sump, they can modify it to work for you. Just reach out to them!

That’s my goal, I’m going to replace my current sump and re-plumb everything. I had to tear my tank down to move and figured this was a good chance to implement things I’ve seen on the forum over the past year.

Anybody use a ClariSea on the Reefer 350 with the original sump (v1)? I searched the thread but couldn’t find any.

You don’t need to remove anything. Just place it anywhere it fits where the water flows through it.

Anyone try the Reefbreeders refugium light? I think it may be a good fit for the RSR250 sump and I've been debating going between that and Kessil H80.

Unfortunately I can’t comment on the reefbreeders but I use the H80 and it’s been super reliable and produces good growth.
