Hi all, my name is Dan.
I have been scouring this sight and others for information about reef tanks for about a month now. I have been part of the aquarium hobby since I was a kid and I have had planted freshwater tanks for 10 plus years. Now. This is going to be my first experience in saltwater.
I picked up a used red sea Max e170 with sump. Willmost likely start a build thread shortly

Hi Dan and Welcome! Glad you joined. Lots of very active saltwater hobbyists near you, and this site is filled with knowledge. You are in the right places!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
