Hello all of you lovely people!

I've had freshwater tanks most of my life and love them. Have three planted tanks currently. Always wanted a Nemo and after years of thinking about it, I finally took the plunge.

Been reading up about everything since my birthday in may and finally set up my Denerle 20 gallon tank about two months ago. Added two clown fish about two weeks ago after cycling. And added a very small Okinawa gobi, a fire shrimp, and a couple of snails like a week ago. (1 turbo grazer, 1 borrowing)

I think I'm done with livestock, that's about all the fish I want. I have a couple of macro algae in there currently (caulerpa taxifolia and rotalgae).

I love my planted tanks and wanted to go the route of macro algae tank, but also want some soft corals like Xenia, maybe a zoa, and an anemone for my clowns. (Will wait for 6 months before I get any of these)

Anyway, I've learned a lot from all of you here and still have an ocean of things to learn (see what I did there?) - so expect a ton of newbie questions from me. You're allowed to roll your eyes at my stupidity!

Oh, a bit about me - I'm half Thai half British, born and grew up in Thailand and moved to London when I was 15, but right now I'm in Germany (Berlin!) for short term - maybe a year. I set up my first salt water tank here and it's been challenging to navigate the language barrier, on to of all the usual hurdles :)

Have a video of my clowns, taken before anything else was added!
Greetings and Welxome to the Boards!

Hey, gotta ask. One of your clowns, the bottom fish in the video. It's an O. clown, yes, but which Variant? I see that the middle stripe on its right side is incomplete.......

Thank you John!

They were in the tank with the label Amphiprion ocellaris. I think they are just common clownfish? I paid €18 for each. But the shop keeper didn't speak a word of English and I don't speak much German (yet, learning) so who knows!

I think the missing ring is just an oddity - it's actually the reason I picked this one in particular and I've named him weirdo, because that was my first thought when I saw him! The other one is Frodo, because he's very submissive, shy and quieter than weirdo.

Weirdo is super active, has a lot of personality, owns the aquarium and everything in it

I any other environment you would have been charge 5x the regular price. Clowns with any color variations command a very high price. Generally between 5 - 10 x the regular price of a Percular specimen. I think your one is freaking cute

Welcome to Reef2Reef! Unrelated question, if that is you in the picture, arent you the girl that frequently post on reddit r/outfits? Could’ve sworn I scrolled past your post not too long ago
It's not me. They're using my picture as their pfp. I made a post about it on my page on reddit.
