Since I started dosing 50/50 sodium carbonate and hydroxide ive been getting this in my sump.

You need to spread out the dose more and have more flow around the dosing lines. If you also dose calcium chloride, you should space it about 20-30 minutes apart after the alk.

I have the alk line up stream about 2 feet away at the beginning of my sump.
I use a DOS and it does a 3 ml dos of alk and 3.7 dos of cal about every ten minutes. These are about 2 minutes from each other.
Ill switch lines around so ALK is down stream and add more flow. Maybe put a wavemaker in there.

Increase the flow around the dosing lines and offset the doses. For example, alkalinity 8:00am Calcium 8:30am etc

You can remove the precipitation from the dosing line and run the calcium line into a cup until it is clear. You should also remove the build up around the sump as that can further increase precipitation.

182g Balling Part C (or AF reef mineral salt) per gallon RO/DI

Per Aquaforest, “
Reef Mineral Salt can be combined in one solution with Calcium or Magnesium.

Solution of Reef Mineral Salt should be dosed with the same liquid-amounts as solutions of Calcium and KH Buffer.”

Could this be combined into the following 2 part solution?
283g NaOH per gallon RO/DI
500g CaCl + 182g aquaforest reef mineral salt per gallon RO/DI

Thank you Randy, I will just keep them seperate. Is it too concentrated of a solution to dissolve the part C when compared to the CaCl2 of AF?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you mean can you devise it to be 1:1:1 dosing? Yes, I believe so.

Sorry for the confusion. I was just curious why it would be OK to dissolve part C in the CaCl2 mix from AF, but not your recipe. I'm assuming it's due to the higher concentration in yours, as that is the only difference between the two calcium components.

I don't believe it is OK for either. Try it and see.

This is to avoid reconfiguring the dosing program for sodium bicarbonate. It is easier to dilute the solution with the correct grams)

I once tried to determine the mass fraction of these reagents:

Sodium bicarbonate = 27.3666
Sodium hydroxide = 57.4786

Then I came to the conclusion that Sodium hydroxide needs 40.2 grams per 1.0 liter to match the concentration of Sodium bicarbonate at 84.5 grams per 1,0 liter.

But I'm not sure if it's right, maybe I need to add other numbers...

Yes, that is correct. 84.5 grams of sodium bicarbonate is matched in potency by 40/84 (the ratio of the molecular weights of the two chemicals ) times 84.5 g = 40.2 g sodium hydroxide.
