There fully adjustable, i have mine sitting at 11”. For me, i can sit on my couch and there is absolutely no side glare at all. This was big for my wife since the tank sits in the living room. How high off the water do they mount them? Also, any side glare with the 120s?
Yeah, close. Newton. You are in Boston right @steveschuerger , I'll be there August 9-11 for work, Cambridge area.
Off topic… is that bling bling showing to be a fast grower for you? Mine is encrusting quick!Also..with soda ash I had to adjust my dosing time/amounts to stop swings. I dose 122 ml per day and used to dose red sea in equal doses day and night. With soda ash the swing was like .4 day vs night. To fix it I took away some ml from each night dpse.and added it to the day dose and now it's 7.9/8 or 8/8.1.
That's what I'm currently using, red sea alk, cal and magDepends on what you dose. 60 ml of red sea alk is 120 ml of soda ash.
PM me your address and I can mail it to you this week. If you want to save on return shipping, maybe we can meet up or if that is too inconvenient you can just mail it back. I don't know the area at all and don't know my schedule yet.Yeah, close. Newton.
It's got some crustiesOff topic… is that bling bling showing to be a fast grower for you? Mine is encrusting quick!
Yeah..if your using 25 ml per day already you might as well get on the soda ash train. Even the 5000 ml for $90 is pricey for 83 days of dosing at 60 mlThat's what I'm currently using, red sea alk, cal and mag
Nice! Im pretty excited about that glittering charms come this week too! Im also hoping to snag something really nice! If i get it ill send you a picIt's got some crusties
I don't math.Wait, I read the question wrong... I dose a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate most weeks. However, since I don't have my RODI set up my top off water is 10-12 dKh at about a gallon a day. That's about a quarter teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate per day or 5 ml of ESV B-Ionic. With the teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate weekly that's about 7.5 ml of ESV B-Ionic daily equivalent in a 125 + sump (I estimate about 100 gallons of actual water).
I'm not sure if the tank is using it all, maybe snails? Or if I'm using more than needed. I know my dosing lines are set by the skimmer intake. When it doses, the skimmer intake, takes some in, or maybe all. Not sure, just know I can see some get sucked in lol. I figured it's just mixing it for me, then going back out the output of the skimmer? Or am I just wasting some due to the skimmer?Yeah..if your using 25 ml per day already you might as well get on the soda ash train. Even the 5000 ml for $90 is pricey for 83 days of dosing at 60 ml
I just mathed a lot to make those numbers.I don't math.
I have nothing against afr..just never went that route. Only thing I didn't like was alk not keeping up with calcium and my tank drinks alk. Plenty of tanks speak for themselves using afr thoughI know everyone doesn't like it but I've been dosing AFR for a few months now and things are really taking off. I have chalices that have exploded, dime size to 2-3 inches across. Multiple heads on euphyllia sprouting. Acros with new branches. It seems to work for me so I will keep going.
I check the big 3 Alkalinity, Calcium, and occasionally my Magnesium.
I haven't done an ICP yet but might one day.
