it really amazes me too how many there are now and what incredible colors. i actually didn’t know about the reputation of gonis when i got my first one, a pink goni from my LFS for $80. i still have it in my reefbowl six and a half years later and it’s been one of my most resilient corals. now i have six different gonis and a bernardpora between my nano and my pico and i’m about to get 4 more from this sale. it’s such a great time to be in the hobby imo.
i only have one, and i have only had it a couple years. I have been avoiding them for years because i have/had this idea in my head that they are difficult from back then.

a couple years is really good though! but i know what you mean, i avoided them too…i was thinking i just got lucky with the pink goni. i’m really glad i finally decided to try some new ones.

I was hoping Saltwateraquarium would have it too. But guess they don't. Definitely cheaper on BRS so will use them.
They don't carry kz full line. I prefer SA but have to go brs for some things....like hanna reagent too. SA keeps trying to say 722 and 755 are the same and interchangeable..they arent.

I got my first one fairly early on in my adventures in reef tanks. Did struggle at first but I still have one or two of the first ones from almost 2 years ago. These two are about the oldest I have

Have you ever frag it. You're growing it to the same monster size as the kush I'm getting Tues.

nah, I’ve been afraid to frag them. I suppose soon enough I’ll have to muster the courage if they get much bigger. And I think both of these are about 5x5 maybe 6x6 at most. This guy from SBB has doubled in size since the winter when ingot it.

Me too. I don't have the nerve or the courage to frag my Bernard or cut my Sherman or Colorado sunburst.

Bumped the ReeFi a bit yesterday. Safe to keep slowly bumping with new coming in Thursday ? Normally I just put corals in and see what they feel about it but I’m going a bit more cautious with the Acros.

given how well your gonis are doing, i imagine they would handle fragging just fine! i’ve had to frag my pink goni lots of times over the years to keep it from outgrowing the reefbowl. i don’t have a frag saw so i literally hack at it with bone cutters. i felt terrified it would die the first time but it was just fine then and every time since.
