i love my clam, it came on a rock that i picked up from a local hobbyist, it seems to be doing great, i can see lots of new shell growth and the mantle is fleshy and happy looking

Keep an eye on the alk. Growing clams are huge consumers.

How have the small ones done for you? I have always been worried about clams under 3 inches as they rely more heavily on filter feeding due to a smaller mantle.

oh i am, believe you me, Thuan has been helping me a huge amount o dial my alk in and figure out daily consumption, i am really close

My last clam was small. I get 4 clams at 27 dollars and then if one makes it I feel great if more then awesome! Small clams are delicate more than anything. In an establish reef i would say non-issue as long as it has stuff to filter and it doesn't get damaged. Out of 4 I just ordered 1 is gone day 2. And one looks horrible 2 weeks. And others are good
