Had 4, not from biota though. No help for aiptasia on our end. Berghia is what I will recommend for sure. 6 weeks later all aiptasia was gone.
So there are lots of variations of peppermint shrimp, and some people selling ones that are completely mislabeled and are actually camel shrimp which will eat corals.

This article does a good job going through the main kind of Lysmata cleaner shrimp with Lysmata wurdematti and bogessi being the two most sold in the hobby https://humble.fish/community/index.php?threads/peppermint-shrimp-identification.3974/

From what I've read, the Lysmata jundalini is supposed to be good at aptaisia. The ones on Algae Barn I don't believe are the same kind.

an expensive chance :grimacing-face:, but something has to be done, i cannot emphasize enough how gnarly it is getting lol
I'm with you on that one. Particularly since my daughter loves feeding the tank, don't know if your kiddo does the same. She now dips her fingers in the water (with supervision), then dips them in the flake food to feed the fish.

We went to SeaWorld over the summer and they have "nibble fish" which eat the dead skin and she has been obsessing over it since then. The clowns, starry blenny and cleaner shrimp will take food from the hand.
