I was using coral RX up until this order. Ill snag some interceptor from my buddy after work.

Should i dip the frags in KCL and interceptor and interceptor the tank? Or just whack the tank?
No need to KCL at this point. Plus even KCL is hard to knock off some bugs.

I would whack the tank and then any new frags kcl. Also get out that microscope for new frags.

One large dog pill per 100-150 gallons, 8 hours later do another pill, 8 hours later..do another pill. So one treatment would be 3 large dog pills in 24 hours. Then 7 days later..repeat...you can do a 3rd week as well if you want. Remove all inverts...especially shrimp and crabs because it will kill them. This is a heavy dose...a lighter dose will kill white bugs but might as well go HAM if you do it.

I don’t know about clams and scallops. WC you can do 24-48 hours later, if you want. Not even necessary.

What I’ve done is run GAC 24-hours after the last treatment and then do a water change within a week or less. I think the medicine is all gone, on its own within less than a day, even with no GAC or WC. The main reason for WC is if you have lots of die off of bristleworms, pods, etc, which can spike ammonia, etc. @zzwierzyna

Side note..the interceptor will nuke the copepods too so add some after treatment is over and carbon or whatever

If you haven't caught on, although it is a SBB Sales thread, it is also a mini reefin' club and everyone here is willing to help each other out. Other topics are a welcome conversation and one of the reasons why these threads hit 800 pages plus.

Snails will be fine with interceptor, I think your clams will be too. I didn't move my clams when I dosed my tank before. I'll assume a flame scallop would be ok like a clam, but if you are worried just buy a 2.5 gallon tank from Petco for $10 and spin up some salt water for it.

Somehow the pods always come back even without adding any. I’m kinda on the boat with Charlie’sFrags now and don’t care if I don’t have any copepods whatsoever. However, I think copepods are beneficial in new systems. Especially with dry rock

They definately help with some micro faunas...only reason I have them. Don't have any fish that are copepod bound

My bioload and feeding is so heavy i think my tank can eat it. Just worried if the flame scallop or a 6 year old trochus dies im prolly in trouble.

I have had a couple pieces with no PE so itll be cool if this really brings em back and maybe the root cause of some color challenges. 95% of my tank is just throwing down skeleton, i can legit see new growth regularly. Bizzare. Heres a confetti since december, 2nd pic was 12/17, the 3rd pic was 12/27, 4th was today*
