Good morning everyone!
Mind if I trade you. We got a good 15+ inches here and now the temps are bottoming out to -30's. Might need to put a jacket on now lolJust a few inches, but it extremely frigid cold it was -5 yesterday. Today will in in single digit
It was 50° in RI yesterday, 3 days ago it was 28° Instead of four seasons we now have rain....we are flooded everywhere in the state.Mind if I trade you. We got a good 15+ inches here and now the temps are bottoming out to -30's. Might need to put a jacket on now lol
check this out. F-22 Raptor doing a slow speed fall. Watch its control surfaces. Rudders, elevators, ailerons and flaps all moving together to keep it perfectly vertical. Three computers fly the aircraft. Pilot just tells them what to do and it’s done. Pretty amazing.
if it doesn’t come up, just click the link and x out the logon. It should play.
Can't wait to come here thenMind if I trade you. We got a good 15+ inches here and now the temps are bottoming out to -30's. Might need to put a jacket on now lol
Oh some on! We live in New England. Mother Nature deliberately stays off her meds just for us.It was 50° in RI yesterday, 3 days ago it was 28° Instead of four seasons we now have rain....we are flooded everywhere in the state.
Crazy how different weather is now...mother nature is off her meds!
They are pretty amazing. However, a lot of the pilots would rather fly a Gen 4 aircraft like the F-15. With the Gen 5 jets you are more a console operator than a pilot. The aircraft are getting so smart, pilots may not be flying them not too far in the future. I wouldn’t be surprised if the F35 is the last manned fighter we build. It’s pretty wild what the newer Gen 5 fighters can do. Love seeing this stuff.

Oh boy, the town released a news letter saying they expect 15-20,000 visitors for the eclipse in April. Our town has a population of 6800. They are telling us to prepare while also telling the local businesses to "stock your shelves" for the community and incoming visitors.

That's going to be with everything, I have trouble relinquishing control for automation on things even though I'm pretty tech savvy. I think self driving cars are neat, but I don't think I could ever truly rely on one. They are pretty amazing. However, a lot of the pilots would rather fly a Gen 4 aircraft like the F-15. Yep. Imagine Uber rides controlled by AI (SkyNet) and we’d getThat's going to be with everything, I have trouble relinquishing control for automation on things even though I'm pretty tech savvy. I think self driving cars are neat, but I don't think I could ever truly rely on one.
Yeah, the problem with fighter aircraft is they are designed to be extreme killing machines. Without the human in the loop to make split second decisions on whether what you are about to destroy is friend, foe or non combatant is why it hasn’t happened thus far. Computer logic still has not been able to understand why some things you can blow up while others you shouldn‘t. An adversary in a previous war we were in tried to get us to shoot down an aircraft full of civilian passengers by making all the electronic sensors show a fighter aircraft. Our Fighter pilot got a tally ho at 40 miles and knew it wasn’t a fighter target. Flew in close to see an airliner. Don’t think a computer controlled fighter could have made that decision. That's going to be with everything, I have trouble relinquishing control for automation on things even though I'm pretty tech savvy.
