What are you guys using for return pumps? I'm looking to get a new one soon and use the one I currently have as backup

I've read a lot about those pumps. Some good some not so good just like with everything else. Lol is there anything u don't like about it? What do u like about it the most?
I use a jebao variable DC pump and prefer them, cheap and been reliable for years.

I also have a Sicce pump, they are well built and reliable but run hot, raising the tank temperature.

Whatever brand, for a return pump I would recommend a DC pump so you can dial in the flow rate and match the overflow without valves on the return line.

The little rubber/silicone feet come off way too easy. Without them, pump is loud from vibration as with almost any pump. Has a weird ramp up when first plugged in/gradual start that I wasn't used to compared to my the mag drives I used to run. Have 2 of them and have worked flawlessly for probably a year and a half. Have a basement fuge... One pump for basement tank and one pushing up to 1st floor main display tank.

I'll just add, AC pumps will produce more heat than a DC pump, if you have problems with high tank temperature, a DC pump could definitely help.

I also had a Danner return pump, and a lifeguard, they definitely added a couple degrees Fahrenheit to the water.
