Shane and several others on the forum indicated that Coral RX can be a bit harsh on the corals, especially right after they went through shipping stress. This time I used potassium chloride which is less harsh. After the dip and rinse in a little tank water, their polyps we’re fully extended within 15-20 minutes after being placed in the tank. I’ve never seen that before, so I’m pretty sold on it.Ah okay. Well that does make me question my coral rx dipping in the past then. That’s very similar to what mine were doing. I have enough of a doubt to stop using it anyways.
I think yours look great. Better than most everything in my tank. I’ve got a long road to hoe before I can show that many photos. After seeing @AKL1950 post im kinda embarrassed to post these. But I’m just happy they’re alive and in some case putting out modest PE. My stylos looking real good as well. Both the Rose Coral and Dendro hit hers happy as well. The first pic is the Sky King. It’s been pretty happy from the get go. And who was it it that suggested that mix of oyster, reef chili etc.? My sps and Gonis especially in the other tank go nuts for it.
Holy…..
Pics are getting better. My new SBB from the auction (all the non Acros that is) starting to settle nicely. Time to make slightly more permanent homes I think
The front Green spawn in front and the Peach on the sand are the newbies.

I've gotta buy one of those..I don't have any issues but it would be fun to seeSo I decided to have pasta tonight. Filled a pot with water, put it on the stove and turned the gas burner on. Took about 5 minutes to boil, threw in the spaghetti and set the timer. Walked over to sit down and glanced at the CO2 meter. It was 520 when I went to the kitchen……now it’s over 1100 and climbing. The burner had only been on for maybe 8 minutes. Whoa! Opened the front and back door and turned on the exhaust fan and ceiling fan. Never realized how quick CO2 can build up in the house. Stove off, doors open and ceiling fan on….CO2 level dropped back down to 625 Fairly quickly.
I‘ve “heard“ that CO2 levels above 800 will cause the tank PH to start dropping Significantly. Don’t know if that’s true, but it’s the number I’m using now to get the doors open and air moving.
Definitely interesting to watch. With just me in the house it fluctuated between 480 and 700. When I turn on the gas stove or burners, that’s a problem. I actually took the meter outside and let it sit for 30 minutes to see what it said. Held steady at 414, so I guess if your house is below 500, it’s a okay.I've gotta buy one of those..I don't have any issues but it would be fun to see
