Here in the Villages I watch 78 year olds rip 260 yard drives on the golf course. Impressive at any age. The rest of them are out playing pickle ball all day. If you slow down here, you’re living in the wrong community.

Not knocking anyone who smokes, but since I'm newer to the hobby, I just don't understand the logistics of it. How does smoke not land on the water and kill everything or the chemicals on your hands enter the water while doing maintenance.

I used to fix computers and people that smoked when they brought them in, the fans would be all clogged.

True, for those who do it in the house. But then, vaping is just propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine with a little nicotine and flavor in it. You probable do more damage to your tank cooking on Teflon, using household cleaning supplies And air fresheners.

When Teflon is heated, it releases Teflon molecules in the air. Toxic in large quantities. People that keep birds are well aware of it. It will kill birds very quick with very small quantities. Sort of like the canary in the coal mine. The birds are very seceptible to small quantities of vapor toxins.

We got one of those carbon steel pans. Supposedly a lot of chefs use them. I like it but it’s tough to keep seasoned and still has some sticking issues. I want my wife to ditch the teflon but it’s just so much easier sometimes.

Your tank is probably more like the real ocean that most of our tanks considering all the crap that gets dumped into it. makes your coral toughen up like in the real world.

At least they finally came out with reef friendly suntan lotion.
