Questions everyone. Many of you dose phyto. These are live foods right that looks green? How long can you keep them alive in the fridge? It doesn't look cheap to dose on a regular basis, and I live like an hr from the closest lfs that sells it.
I get 16oz x2 from Dinkins every month with Snacklebox (rotifer/copepod mix) 16oz x2 every month. It lasts until just before the next delivery for me(.ie: I use it up)

Last you until the next SBB sale or auction right Steve?
I suppose you’re right. But in all honesty I think the July sale with be my last purchase of any modest size for a bit. And that’s all courtesy of about 379 dollars of cred/GC

For me it was a waste of money
I may try taking a break after this one is gone. I would say my glass is cleaner since adding pods and phyto and green algae is low but whatever I’m doing isn’t helping with my dinos situation. 1/2 gallon of pods in a 14g tank, lot of phyto, UV, manual removal everyday, mb7, high nutrients that have never dipped down and still dealing with Dino’s. Not sure what benefits I’m seeing from phyto so I may stop to see if I see any changes. Starting silicate dosing today. Making my tank uglier with diatoms to outcompete Dino’s, should be fun.

By the way, my delivery came earlier, around 11:30 or so local time. Just getting it acclimatized now. Had a bunch of stuff to do earlier. Both the 90 Discus tank needed a 25% change and I had to do a severe cleaning of the cube. I forgot how horrible new tanks can get. It looks like the corals are recovering ok from it at least. Redid the aquascape a bit and added the remainder of the LifeRock I had. Possibly will switch out for live rock after this last bunch finishes settling out next month. Some notables for the delivery- got a few nice freebies. One pretty chunky Acro and 2 small Gonis that came in the same bag! I’ll have pics posted after I finish getting them squared off. Here’s the teaser pics—

Oh noes... I love and hate my urchin.... its so cool looking but picks up all my sticks off the frag racks.
My blue tang fans my sticks with his tail. love that he tends my garden with me but often blows a frag out of the rack in the process.
