My youngest had this a week ago.....

Hunger Games Student GIF
I think it was the towns' quietest Halloween. Over 1/2 the kids out sick @ school... We all did a bunch of group autumn activities... Night hike for the Girls (Brownies) at Morton Arboretum, Overnight trip with the girls to Camp Tecumseh in Brookston In. (Prairie Guides), Overnight trip with the boys to Camp Tecumseh in Brookston In. (Praire Guides)...
we didn't even go trick or treating...
The kids' candy are lozenges ;D
will make it up to them.

vacuumed out all the red cyano I could then scrubbed the GHA, then siphoned out all the detritus at the bottom of the tank, then passed out at my desk trying to do 3d designs... got to bed before my wife woke up so I don't think she noticed. Kids still sick... got more books and video games from the library.

I slept downstairs on the couch the last couple of nights because of my chest congestion. I made a comment last night about it and apparently my wife didn't even realize... :thinking-face:

@Projects with Sam glad my son is out of the house. Don't really miss the days of curtain climbing and Crayons on the wall! Although didn't have too much of that, Brock was an only child and a good one at that!

Sam, @Projects with Sam what do you think of this project? See article in link. Might be a good way to splash proof any kind of battery operated power tool for use around the reef.

if its a brushless motor getting wet shouldn't be an issue.
a lot of hobbyists just put the motor right into the water.
I think its mainly corrosion over time that does the damage.
interesting spray; I've used the dielectric grease before.
Cant hurt to waterproof your tools but I try to keep all that stuff away from my tanks and to not leave it out in the rain.

Not much countertop space in my fish closet for my drills. :D

Added about a cup of phyto this morning to the tanks and am happy to mention that it outcompete the cyano and the tank is still clean. I have a few gallons of phyto now so I'll be hitting that hard.

Custom XR15 shade for my lfs. The white and orange are iridescent in UV.
That's the inside of the shade. The outside looks sweet... no pics yet.
