Oh I can't decide what to do. The way the jebao mounting design is, it's throwing off what I want to do. They output on the gyres is only 1/4 of the circumference. Intake is on the bottom.

I was thinking, if you mount them to close to the surface they will suck air. Hence the deflector at the top.

I may just go back to the drawing board...lol

I would like to make them more like the maxspect where they narrow at the ends and bulge in the middle. But the mounting bracket prevents it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well if they’re like this one. And you only have to cover the cylindrical parts I noted, make sleeves fro those parts. Your concept isn’t really too far off from the looks of things.

For nem guards, if you want to cheat, you could always use nylon mesh cable guard.

Well if they’re like this one. And you only have to cover the cylindrical parts I noted, make sleeves fro those parts. Your concept isn’t really too far off from the looks of things.

Jebao's mounting bracket supports the gyre from the ends. The end caps do pop off and you can remove the the gyre and install the guards. It just prevents from installing a design similar to maxspect. No room between the gyre and the glass because of the mounting bracket. There is space between the guard and the maxspect.

I have used something similar in the past, but it looks bad, it's not so much I am trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm putting chrome on it and provide higher output with better protection....LOL. 3D printed ones slide on and off easily, look nicer, and if someone needs some I could print some out.

I guess there's no 100% guarantee Jello won't loose a tentacle, but at least the whole body won't go through the meat grinder.
