I finally wrangled out my ATO plan and completed the order to Bashsea today. This will be a complete custom match to the sump they are building for me. To save considerable cost of shipping it they are going to hold my sump back a week or so to include this with the shipment of the sump as it's big enough and has to go LTL anyhow. Pretty excited!
Essentially I'll have my BRS RODI unit plumbed directly to the ATO through a Spectrapure liquid level controller which will allow me to call for RO water in 18 gal batches or so instead of constant on/off from a typical level controller like the Tunze or ATK would cause. That then goes through a simple BRS float valve as a second line of defense and then finally there's the emergency overflow drain.
From there I'll use a Tunze 3155 to push top off water from the ATO to an avast Kalk stirrer. The Tunze will monitor my sump level in the usual manner. I'm not going to try to push kalk water through a float valve as that will become unreliable quick, I'll depend on an additional optical eye for watching the sump level as well as having an emergency drain in place on my sump just like the ATO. Feeling like this will meet my needs well. Wish me luck haha.

I finally picked up my base board for the bottom of my stand too. Using 1/2" thick HDPE for that. Drilled and bolted it down to the base of the stand. A person could debate that it's a bit overkill but the engineer in me starts to get an involuntary twitch in my right eye and neck if things aren't mechanically secured in place haha. I think it will just add to the overall rigidity of the structure as well. I'm still waiting on the top piece which will be 3/4" thick sheet of Type I PVC.

Hey what's up weekend warriors?!
Hope y'all have some fun fish projects this weekend! Installed a brs water saver on my 100 gpd rodi unit this morning, cuz why not? Well it sure does make water faster as advertised! Filled a 5 gallon bucket in 30 minutes flat. #winning
With that done, I thought I'd take a road trip and check out new Wave aquaria in Minneapolis which is about an hour and 45 minutes away to see what they have for critters. I've heard good things about their quarantine process. We shall see. Anyhow, feel free to chime in on what you're into this weekend.

Woohoo! I officially have critters! Thank you new Wave aquaria! incredible store! I'll definitely go back soon, even tho it was a bit of drive, it was will worth it!

Acclimating complete, they are officially in QT!
Next Friday my powder blue from Marine collectors comes in hopefully! I'll likely put him in the same tank since all these guys went through a quarantine process that these vendors are known for. They'll live here for the next month for observation. My normal QT process will be to proactively medicate if I get anything that isn't from a vendor like these two.
