Looks beautiful under the kessil! Colour? Intensity? please! No changes today with the new ritteri. I didn’t do a WC yesterday due to me turning off my heater by accident in my saltwater mixing tank. Will keep the nem under observation this weekend then will begin to introduce DT water to the hospital tank to see if there are any reactions.View attachment 2546952View attachment 2546953View attachment 2546954
Amazing work! A true inspiration to us all. Keep it upThis morning I woke up around 7 to get the transfer to the DT going. I have the lighting schedule on the hospital tank the same as the display to help the acclimation process, the light intensity is 10% less than display, and flow comparable to what’s in the tank. I find that this helps the acclimation period in the tank and minimizes nems from moving around looking for more light. Once I verified salinity and temperature were comparable I began a 30 min heavy drip acclimation. I typically stop acclimating once the bucket is 50% DT water.

I removed the ritteri completely out of the bucket and placed it on the shelf rock under the lights. The shelf rock is complete isolated which I’ve found helps prevent the ritteri from wondering. All gyres are well covered with DIY nem protectors made from regular window screen material cut-to-size and superglued together. I’ll keep monitoring it over the next few days to observe any movement or reactions to being in the DT.
