Does your "other":
A. Deal with your hobby because it gets you out of their hair for a few hours.
B. Support you but stays at arms length by disappearing during tank maintenance and with comments like oh that's pretty.
C. Knows names and preferences of tank and coral and why you can't have certain ones.
D. Has their own tank.
Mine is a B. He will go to swaps with me for moral support. He also helps with heavy lifting but other than that he has his own thing.
I would’ve said E also, which for me is “Thinks I spend too much time and money on the tank and forum, and I’m not sure if she is going first leave me or take a hammer to the tank”Mine is E- Thinks I spend too much time and money on my pretty glass box and wants to turn my fish room into a play room….

I'll bring my cooler!!Riptide was at a show in Charleston that I went to check out a couple weeks ago - judging by the pieces in person, whoever joins will be in for a treat!
I want to participate, just need to get a few things lined up with tank upgrade to ensure a happy ending for the corals
E. Teamwork and bad influences (in the good way) on one another. He’s the brains behind the tank set up and does the hard work. He did all the plumbing and made the tank as little maintenance as possible by running automatic dosing, automatic daily water changes etc all from the garage to the tank. I made the rock sculptures, help with bigger water changes, daily glass cleaning, etc. I pick out the majority of the fish and coral, but never argue him when his eyes light up over some crazy expensive blasto etc.OK for today's meaningful post....

You should look in to adding beneficial bacteria to your system. I purchased rock rubble from aquabiomics a while back and that’s when I really noticed the system start to stabilize. I see it’s out of stock now but stalk their website for availability!!!E. Teamwork and bad influences (in the good way) on one another. He’s the brains behind the tank set up and does the hard work. We are about 5 months in on our current tank (we already want to go bigger), but are now fighting a cyano outbreak. My tank is not giving me the tranquil feels at the moment! After about 6 weeks of trying all the natural ways of fighting it, I’m leaving it up to him if we throw in the towel and chemiclean. We had this happen with our last tank as well, but never before that. I am starting to believe it is almost an inevitable dry rock, dry sand problem.
