Thanks for all the info. In the past I have had plenty melt after shipping, but ever since I started using the kessil's I haven't lost any. I place them in a reasonably shady area then use the coral aclimation setting built in the kessil controller. Hope this helps someone.

I've got some yumas incoming next week. My Ricordias are doing well. Running an 8 bulb t5. 25" deep tank. Looks like I'll try to start them under some shadows.

Good info.

I have two yumas that I don't know where they came from and they have thrived now for two years. One is approximately 3" across and the new one is about 1.5 inches. They are orange with blue in them. This is my first experience with them and I have been happy with their progress.

mine seem to prefer rock... they move back and forth from light to shade on the same rock. I don't mind though as they leave babies behind every time they move. hahaha

I have one on a small piece of flat rock. It seems to be moving off it on to the substrate. If I move it closer to a bigger piece will it move on it or should I just leave him alone.

Not mine but possibly looking to buy it, what do you think with a price tag of $175 converted.

A beauty for sure but I'd make sure it is aquacultured vs wild caught. I recently bought 3 different types of yuma colonies(wild or mari) and all withered away within a month or two. On the other hand my aquacultured yumas(3 different types) have been doing well for quite a while and are multiplying.

+1 I can only keep them alive for about 2 years.

This is my yuma, had it for about 8months now. Moved it a couple times all in low flow and low light areas. Hasn’t grown much since I bought it. Tried direct and indirect feeding but doesn’t catch much. It’s been in this spot a couple weeks, does it look happy or should I move again? Started off in the center of the plug and gradually moved to the right lol. This is my first yuma
